Planted Deeply grew out of both a deep love for God’s Word and a desire to remain in Jesus moment by moment. Psalm 1 and Jeremiah 17 paint a picture of a life planted deeply in Him, one marked by delighting in His Word, meditating on it, trusting Him, and walking in faithful obedience, like a tree planted by water, steady and growing in every season. In John 15, Jesus makes it clear that He alone is the source of all fruit, and that our role is simply to remain in Him. As I grew in my walk with the Lord, I became increasingly aware of how easily my perspective shifts when I am not tethered to His Word throughout the day. Simple, everyday reminders, Scripture on walls, prayer cards, coffee mugs, etc..,became anchors that helped fix my eyes back on Christ, echoing the call of Deuteronomy 6 to set reminders for our hearts and minds to be on Him continually. My prayer is that the words and designs you find here would encourage you to live planted deeply in His Word.
